WHAT WAS BUSINESS LIKE BEFORE JOINING THE PROGRAMME?
- It was ok but not progressing. I wanted to be doing better but was just doing the same things day in
day out. I needed to up my prices and I wanted to grow my team.
WHAT MADE YOU REACH OUT TO BILL?
- I needed support with new ideas, confidence to follow through ideas and dealing with customers when increasing my prices. I’d never had any business support so thought it’d be a good idea to get some professional advice
WHY DID YOU JOIN THE PROGRAMME?
- I was getting bored of what I was doing and needed new challenges and ideas. I wanted to be able to get professional advice and support along the way.
HOW HAS THE PROGRAMME HELPED YOU FINANCIALLY?
- It has improved my confidence in increasing my prices and dealing with customers in general. My mindset has changed and I’m not afraid to charge what I want to charge. I’m not afraid to lose the odd customer that can’t afford me because I know there’ll be others that can.
I’m also much more aware of daily/weekly/ monthly takings and what I need to be charging to earn what I want to earn
HOW HAS THE PROGRAMME HELPED YOU MENTALLY?
- It’s made me realise I’m doing well but can continue to do better. Not to get complacent. I enjoy going to work, I love my little business I’m proud of it and my small team. Sharing wins helps give me a boost and to focus on the things that are going well. I’m much more confident with my pricing and I am mentally preparing myself to go VAT registered. I feel like I can take on any challenge that comes my way with the support of Bill and the other groomers
HOW HAS THE PROGRAMME HELPED YOU ORGANISATIONALLY?
- It has definitely made me put time aside to work on the business and to get shit done instead of procrastinating. The idea of outsourcing is great too so I’ve changed accountants and pay them more to do pretty much everything for me
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THE PROGRAMME AND WHY?
- Yes I’d definitely recommend the programme because it has had such a positive impact on my business and me personally. I think I’ve made more changes during this year than I have in the whole time I’ve been in business. I’m so much happier and more confident and I am proud of myself for what I’ve achieved. I love the support and praise I get from Bill and the other groomers. I feel like I can deal with anything that life throws at me
WHAT DOES THE NEXT 12 MONTHS LOOK LIKE FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
- I’m going to support my apprentice though her EPA continue to train her up and employ her as a groomer. My prices are going up in April and I should be going VAT registered around August-October I need to focus on attracting more business through cat grooming (dog grooming and
teeth cleaning is super busy) Possibly new signage and a website
